Mallard Creek Polymers, Inc. is a world-class manufacturer of specialty emulsion polymer products. Everlam makes and sells Everlam™ polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayer for use by glass laminators to produce attractive, durable and high-quality laminated glass products used in architecture. Everlam took over the German PVB operation of DuPont, the chemical company that pioneered, back in the 1930’s, PVB film manufacturing sold under the trade name Butacite®. GVC established Ameripol Synpol Corporation in 1992 from the acquisition of the synthetic rubber business of Michelin. In 1997, GVC acquired the emulsion rubber business of Continental General Tire which became part of Ameripol Synpol Corporation (ASC). Currently, ASC owns the legacy Continental General Tire business, an idled 280 acre plant site in Odessa, TX, a butadiene pipeline in East Texas, various land holdings and technology. ASC’s technology includes a process technology package for our world-class emulsion-SBR technology from the Odessa, TX facility; and an unique carbon black coupling technology for low hysteresis rubber tires. |

Degussa Engineered Carbons was purchased from J.M. Huber in 1995, this carbon black business operated as Engineered Carbons, Inc through 2002 when it merged with Degussa AG to become Degussa Engineered Carbons. Sold to Evonik Industries in 2007. |
