History

    • 1992 – GVC Holdings formed as a joint venture with Citicorp Venture Capital.
    • 1992 – Acquired Ameripol Synpol synthetic rubber business of Michelin.
    • 1995 – Acquired the carbon black business of J.M. Huber, operated as Engineered Carbons, Inc.
    • 1995 – Acquired styrene butadiene latex business from Rohm & Haas, operates as Mallard Creek Polymers.
    • 1997 – Ameripol Synpol purchased the synthetic rubber business of Continental General Tire.
    • 2002 – Formed a joint venture with Degussa AG and combined the North American carbon black assets of both companies to create the largest carbon black producer in the United States, Degussa Engineered Carbons.
    • 2003 – Divested the synthetic rubber facility in Port Neches, Texas, to ISP International.
    • 2005 – Established Parekh Capital Group (PCG) to make private equity investments in the chemicals and related industries.
    • 2007 – Divested interest in Degussa Engineered Carbons to Evonik Industries.
    • 2008 – PCG acquired Dow Reichold Specialty Latex business.
    • 2008 – Acquired Citigroup Venture Capital stake in GVC.
    • 2015 – Acquired the European PVB film business formerly owned by European subsidiaries of E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company (“DuPont”), operates as Everlam.
